The Pope & Young Club's Lee Gladfelter Award recognizes a wildlife professional who has made a significant contribution to bowhunting and wildlife conservation. At the Club's 31st Biennial Convention in Omaha, Nebraska, Mississippi State University's Dr. Bronson Strickland received the award.
A special thanks goes out to Bowsite's, Pat Lefemine and Charlie Rehor, plus all the Bowsiters who attended the website's Meet and Greet during the P&Y Convention on Friday, April 12th. The Bowsite Meet and Greet instigated the raising of almost $30,000 earmarked for the Pope and Young Club's Conservation Fund.
During the recent Pope and Young convention held in Omaha, Nebraska, M.R. James was presented with the inaugural Glenn St. Charles Outstanding Member Award.Ā¯ Since 1971, M.R. has worked tirelessly promoting the Pope and Young Club and encouraging bowhunters to get involved.
During the Pope and Young Club's 31st Biennial Convention held in Omaha, Nebraska, the Club's Stewardship award was presented to the Kansas Bowhunters Association. This prestigious award is given to a bowhunter or bowhunting organization that has conveyed a positive, good-citizen image to the hunting and non-hunting public.
