New Jersey Bowhunting Organization Receives Pope and Young Stewardship Award

September 7, 2021

We recently honored the United Bowhunters of New Jersey (UBNJ) with the P&Y Stewardship award during the 2021 Award Ceremonies at their 32nd Biennial Convention in Reno, NV. The Stewardship Award is given to a bowhunter or bowhunting organization that, by their actions, has conveyed a positive image of bowhunting and bowhunters to both the hunting and non-hunting public.

The UBNJ is the State Bowhunting Organization for the State of New Jersey. Incorporated in 1974 as a non-profit organization, the UBNJ works to protect bow hunting and expand bowhunting opportunities while promoting fair chase hunting and sound wildlife conservation practices to protect our natural renewable resources. The dedicated council works tirelessly for their members and for all bowhunters of New Jersey.

On hand to receive the award was Pope & Young’s own Mark Kronyak –who was recently inducted into the New Jersey Bowhunters Hall of Fame.

“It is an honor to present the Stewardship Award to the United Bowhunters of New Jersey” stated P&Y Executive Director Jason Rounsaville.  “As an organization, and as individuals, they work tirelessly to Preserve, Promote, and Protect bowhunting and serve as a great example for all bowhunting organizations.”
